The latest purge from Fanfiction.Net has caused a huge range of emotions in the past week. For those of you that have not heard, FF.Net has purged all fanfics that they feel are in violation of their rating system. The exact number are still being debated, but was in the thousands. Whether you are in agreement with their actions or not, many authors in our fandom are being forced to move to other sites. We hope to be able to come together as a community and share information with all the readers and authors of our fandom.

So what to do?
If you have not been affected , that’s great and hope your works remain safe.
For those whose works were just deleted without second thought or apology our hearts go out to you. Many of us are trying to get information out there and give support to all the writers. Fanfiction.net has been a place where many authors have developed their skills and have been able to gain confidence and constructive criticism through their reviews. To have had all of it wiped out without a shred of guilt from the administrators is a tragedy. I just hope that all the authors in all the fandoms find a place where their works are safe.
One way to go is to create your own blog to home your stories. Do not be afraid, there are many of us that will be happy to help you set up your blog where you are free to post what you like. There are many authors out there that have continued to gain success by creating their own site. We will be happy to help get the word out where you are located so that your readers will be able to find you. If you write it, THEY will come!!

There have been many reactions to this and one of them has been an organised boycott starting June 8th for 2 days. Many authors and readers from all fandoms have been writing to the administrators to no avail. This has been a great event to sign up to as it has turned more into a support group for all fandoms to help authors and readers spread information.
