Jan’s sample Drabble:
Bill watched as Jessica hammered the last peg into the ground. He tugged the ropes holding him. Nice and strong. He was sure that this plan would work, Sookie would see his ‘sacrifice’ and come running to save him and, more importantly, feed him her delicious Fae blood.
Bill commanded his child to wait at home for him. Cold turkey didn’t look good on a vampire; he needed Sookie’s blood, now. As the sun peeked over the horizon, his body screamed for shelter.
Sookie opened her door and read the attached note. Shaking her head, she went back inside.

Fangreaders Drabble Challenge – No.4.Prompt: Drums
Jan’s sample Drabble:
Her heart thundered in her chest, constant and steady, like a tribal call. She closed her eyes lightly and repeated her mantra.
“I can do this. I can do this.”
She let her hands sink into the water. Letting the ripples it created soothe her. This is what she had to do; she had to let the water cleanse her broken spirit. It was much deeper than it looked.
Before Sookie knew it, she was elbow deep in the water.
Shaking her head, she grabbed the sponge and squeezed out the excess liquid.
“Someone has to clean this damned house!”

Happy April Fool’s Day ~ I do admit that I was going to announce that we were going to have Alexander Skarsgard in the Chatroom, but then I thought better of it. Wouldn’t want the death threats from 80 disappointed members.

Thanks to Jaxg & Black Dead Orchids, the Fangreaders chats will have an additional time of 9pm EST on certain days. JecaNS is currently setting up some Author Spotlights for that time. This will be great for the members in the U.S and Canada not to mention our members in Australia & New Zealand.

There’s a new website in town for those that want a story that will tickle your fangs. Giggle Snort has opened it’s doors to ALL fandoms. It’s THE place for funny fanfiction or original work. The readers of this site have a wicked sense of humour so it’s a great way to expand your fanbase.

In addition, Fairy would like all members to get in touch with their birthdays so we can do something special for you. Also could you send me your location Town, State/Province, Country. If you want to remain anonymous, could you please send a town/city that is close? I’m working on a Google Map that will show how our group spans the globe. It’s a fun lil project and looks very impressive. Once completed (or close enough) I will embed it into our blog.

Jan’s sample Drabble:
Sookie couldn’t believe all of the things Bill had admitted to. She had her doubts, time and time again, but something stopped her from voicing her concerns. Was it fear of losing Bill’s love? Was Bill’s blood affecting her behaviour?
This time was different. Everything that came out of his mouth contradicted his actions. She could feel her body rejecting the controls that had been placed upon it. Finally, she found herself. Digging as deep as she could, her mouth opened. He would never manipulate her again.
“Love? You don’t even get to use that word! I rescind my invitation!"
