Bookie=Southern vampire mystery book fan. Truebie+Bookie=Trookie. The tumblr to the site dedicated to fans who are neutral when it comes to the TB vs. SVM debate!
Please help with their fund raiser for THE CHOROIDEREMIA RESEARCH FOUNDATION!
From the Trookies Tumblr:
Hey everyone!
We have been talking about a surprise the past few days but Jacq and I have been extremely busy managing this surprise.
Οn our main site we choose a charity for each month to support. E.J. Scott is running 12 marathons in 12 cities blind folded to raise awareness and money for THE CHOROIDEREMIA RESEARCH FOUNDATION!
In honor of 12 marathons in 12 cities in 2012 we’ve made 12 twitter icons. We discussed who we felt were the top 12 favorite characters from the Sookie books and True Blood show. These were the ones we came up with based on fans opinions and fan sites alike. If you donate a dollar you’ll get your favorite. Essentially “buying” an avatar for a $1 dollar. You may also buy the whole pack for a 12 dollar donation. The paypal link currently is set to a dollar donation. We’ll set up another one where you can send 12 dollars for them all. This will go on until May 17th. After May 17th all the money will be donated on the behalf of the Trookies and the fans. As well as all icons will be removed from flickr and the site. These are made specially and only for this cause. Now we can’t stop people from sharing them once they are bought afterwards, but we did make sure no one can take them without donating.
Below you’ll see what each looks like, a link to donate and a link to read more about his marathon running.
xx,
Jacq & Bella

Join in the Adventure
Launched this week , Chronicles of an Adventure is a collaborative event for writers and anyone that would like to express themselves creatively. Though based on the SVM fandom, all fandoms are welcome to join in.
In a nutshell: A story will be started with a premise (a prompt). All writers are asked to write a chapter based on that premise and create their own supernatural character. All those that submit a chapter will have them all posted and voted on. The winning chapter will be the premise (the prompt) for the next chapter and so on until the end of the story. All creative expressions (banners, pictures, videos, etc) will be welcome too and posted on the site to go with the chapters. Once the last chapter is finished, there will be a vote for the title of that particular story.
Please see the rules HERE
The Current Prompt (the Preface) :
Eric Northman has received a call from his long time friend, Gabriella Calabrese AKA (Gabby) who is the Sheriff of Area 7, Chicago. Her bonded, a human named Matthew Gregorian has disappeared and Gabby is frantic to find him and asks Eric for help. Gabby has explained that their bond has been severely severed somehow and she can tell he’s alive but that’s about all she can tell from the bond.
The only other clues Eric has been able to find so far have been that Matthew disappeared sometime during Gabriella’s rest.
Chapter 1 is due this Sunday April 1, 2012 by 12midnight CST (5am April 2nd GMT)
(Chapter is to be in between 700 words but no more than 1000)
You can email your chapter (with header) to chronicles.adventures@gmail.com
or fill in the form HERE
Voting on the Chapter will begin on April 4th…to see all the deadlines please look at the Calendar
This will be an on going event where there will be more stories created through a group effort. All fandoms are welcome to join in. Anyone that would like to help with this project please send us an email at chronicles.adventures@gmail.com .

Chronicles of an Adventure
Last night Musingsbychar revealed her idea to have a fandom wide collaborative event. All that would like to write, or create graphics, or make videos or any other creative expressions are asked to join in.
The Chronicles of an Adventure is the name of this venture and you can see more information on it’s website http://chronicles-of-an-adventure.blogspot.com/ (Blog still under construction)
The Project
This is a true writing collaboration. You will be given a preface and a few details that must be used to solve a mystery. Each week the chapters that have been written will be uploaded and voted on with a public vote. The winning chapter will be the NEXT weeks premise for the upcoming chapter. (example winning chapter from 1 will be the basis for writing chapter 2, etc) Writers have 8 chapters to solve the mystery. All the chapters will be posted on the blog site as well as on fan fiction. Voting will be open for from Wed-Sat night at 12pm CST
The Rules
1. You must develop a supernatural character (s) that will play a large role in the mystery and its` solution.
2. Chapters are limited to 700-1000 words max (not including story form)
3. ALL CHAPTERS must be Betad and the header must be included with the story. It does NOT count towards the chapter length
Header
Author's name ~
Beta~
Chapter number and Title (if you have one) ~
4. All chapters must address the prompts given for the next weeks chapter
5. Chapters are due no later than Sunday of the following week. The first chapter will be due on April 1st. Voting will be open from Wed-Saturday night at 12pm CST
6. Send all entries to chronicles.adventures@gmail.com
7. You may not post your stories on your own Fan. Fiction site until the end of the project. You may however link to the stories.
8. Stories should be written for all ages.
Your Preface
Eric Northman has received a call from his long time friend, Gabriella Calabrese AKA (Gabby) who is the Sheriff of Area 7, Chicago. Her bonded, a human named Matthew Gregorian has disappeared and Gabby is frantic to find him and asks Eric for help. Gabby has explained that their bond has been severely severed somehow and she can tell he’s alive but that’s about all she can tell from the bond. The only other clues Eric has been able to find so far have been that Matthew disappeared sometime during Gabriella’s rest.
